A look at the long range rainfall forecast. There are two distinct periods of rain. The first shows rain but low amounts and this is due to the East Coast Low blocking the trade wind rain. Notice the difference when the next High is able to make it through. That shows just how much rain we get from the trade winds this time of year. However we are still not seeing the monsoonal rain as yet in this data.
