• Tuesday: Expect isolated showers on the east coast and nearby inland areas, scattered showers across the Gold Coast, Central Coast, and North Tropical Coast, and possible thunderstorms in Torres Strait. Partly cloudy elsewhere with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.

• Wednesday: Showers spreading along east and southeast coasts, becoming widespread in the north. Clouds increasing inland with possible thunderstorm in west. Strong southeasterly winds on east coast. Warm nights, near-average daytime temperatures.

• Thursday: Eastern areas and Torres Strait: Isolated to scattered showers. Widespread showers likely in Cassowary Coast. Interior: Cloud building, with showers, rain, and possible thunderstorms in far southwest Queensland. Above-average overnight temperatures, especially in the west. Daytime temperatures near average.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:
