Showers and storms are expected across much of WA, the NT, and far north QLD in humid and unstable air, with an intensification in northeast NSW and southeast QLD. Western Tas will experience a few showers accompanied by brisk southwesterly winds, while much of Vic remains settled under high pressure. Weather warnings include a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Goldfields, Central Wheat Belt, and Gascoyne districts, Strong Wind Warning for Gold Coast Waters, and various Gale and Strong Wind Warnings for coastal areas in Vic, SA, and Tasmania.

Showers expected to become widespread at times in far northern Queensland and the east coast between Yeppoon and Noosa Heads. Above-average temperatures in the southwest, near average elsewhere.

North Tropical Coast and Tablelands:

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:
The weather forecast includes max temperature in the low to mid 30s, min temperature in the low to mid 20s, light winds becoming easterly to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h, with a high chance of showers likely in the late morning and afternoon, a chance of a thunderstorm, and partly cloudy conditions.
Central Coast and Whitsundays:
