National

Showers along the eastern seaboard due to moist onshore winds. Showers and storms in parts of QLD and the NT, possibly extending to far northern and far southern WA. Hot and dry winds prevailing over SA. Warm and dry conditions over TAS, VIC, and inland NSW, influenced by high pressure.

  • Tuesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms expected in central and northern areas north of Rockhampton to Winton, with the possibility of severe thunderstorms in the north. Showers becoming widespread with potential for heavy rain in the Central Coast and Whitsundays. Isolated showers in other eastern and central regions. Mostly clear in the southwest and southern interior. Winds mostly from the southeast to northeast, becoming northwesterly in the Peninsula and Torres Strait.

  • Wednesday: Scattered showers and isolated storms in central and northern districts, possible severe storms in northern interior. Showers easing in Central Coast, increasing from Bowen to Cairns. Isolated showers on east coast south of St Lawrence. Sunny inland, above-average temps in south, below-average in northwest.

  • Thursday: Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in central, northern, and western districts. Widespread showers between Bowen and Port Douglas, isolated showers elsewhere in the east. Chance of showers or storms in southwest interior and Granite Belt. Mostly sunny in southeast and central areas. Above-average temperatures in the south, below-average in the northwest.

  • Friday: Sporadic rain and storms in north and northwest Queensland, mostly sunny elsewhere with above-average temperatures in the south and below-average in the northwest.



North Tropical Coast and Tablelands:

Max temperature around 30°C, min temperature in the low to mid 20s, light winds, showers likely from late morning with chance of a thunderstorm, partly cloudy.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

The weather forecast includes a maximum temperature of around 30°C, minimum temperature in the low to mid 20s, light winds, high chance of showers with thunderstorms likely in the late morning and afternoon, and partly cloudy conditions.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

The weather forecast includes a high chance of showers, thunderstorms, southeasterly winds 15 to 20 km/h becoming easterly to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h, with maximum temperature around 30 degrees and overnight temperatures dropping to the low to mid 20s.

Peninsula:

The forecast includes daytime temperatures in the low to mid 30s, overnight temperatures in the mid 20s, light winds, high chance of showers, chance of a thunderstorm, and partly cloudy conditions.

Gulf Country:

The weather will have a maximum temperature in the low to mid 30s, minimum in the mid 20s, light winds becoming northeasterly, very high chance of showers, possible severe thunderstorm in the southeast, and partly cloudy skies.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

Max temperature: Low to mid 30s, Min temperature: Low to mid 20s, Wind: Light becoming easterly 15-20 km/h, Rainfall: High chance of showers, Thunderstorm possible, Conditions: Partly cloudy with potential severe thunderstorm.

Capricornia:

Partly cloudy with high of low to mid 30s, low of 20 to 25, winds SE 15-25 km/h turning E 20-30 km/h, medium chance of showers in north, near zero chance elsewhere, chance of thunderstorm in north.

Central Highlands and Coalfields:

The weather will be partly cloudy with a max temperature in the low to mid 30s, light winds becoming easterly at 15 to 25 km/h, a medium chance of showers in the north, with near zero chance of rain elsewhere, and overnight temperatures falling to the low 20s.

Central West:

Expect a hot day with temperatures ranging from mid to high 30s, light winds becoming easterly to northeasterly, partly cloudy skies with medium chance of showers in the north and slight chance elsewhere, possible thunderstorm, and overnight temperatures dropping to low to mid 20s.

North West:

The weather will be hot with temperatures ranging from the low to high 30s, a high chance of showers and possibly severe thunderstorms, light winds becoming northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h, and overnight temperatures dropping to the mid 20s.

Channel Country:

The maximum temperature will reach around 40°C with minimum temperatures in the mid to high 20s, light winds becoming east to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h, slight chance of a shower, mostly sunny with a chance of thunderstorms in the northwest in the afternoon and evening, and near zero chance of rain elsewhere.

Maranoa and Warrego:

The weather will be hot with temperatures ranging from the low to mid 20s overnight, reaching 35 to 42 during the day, with mostly sunny conditions, light winds becoming north to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the morning, then turning east to northeasterly later in the day, and no rainfall expected.

Darling Downs and Granite Belt:

Max temperature: 37°C, Min temperature: 19°C, Wind speed: 15 to 25 km/h, Wind direction: East to northeasterly, Rainfall: Slight chance of a shower over the Granite Belt, Sky conditions: Mostly sunny.

Wide Bay and Burnett:

The weather forecast includes a maximum temperature of 34°C, a minimum temperature between 19-23°C, light winds becoming easterly to southeasterly at 20-30 km/h, a slight chance of a shower in the south with near-zero chance elsewhere, and mostly sunny conditions.

Southeast Coast:

The weather will include a max temperature around 30°C, a min temperature in the low 20s, light winds becoming east to southeasterly at 15 to 25 km/h, slight chance of a shower, and it will be partly cloudy.
