National Synoptic Situation

Max/Min/Rain for 4 days

Synoptic Situation for

QLD:

Well, it looks like Mother Nature is playing a game of musical chairs with the weather in Queensland. A high in the Tasman Sea is acting like that one friend who never wants to leave the party, slowly drifting northeast and extending a ridge over the state. Deep moisture is being thrown onto the North Tropical Coast like confetti in onshore winds, while drier air is making its way over the southeast for the next few days. But don't get too comfortable, because that dry air will soon be moving into the far north on Sunday as the onshore winds take a break. A trough is set to crash the party in southern Queensland on Sunday, sticking around for Monday and Tuesday before making a grand exit northwards on Wednesday. So, stay safe out there and don't let these weather shenanigans catch you off guard. And remember, when it comes to storms and heatwaves, it's always better to be safe than sorry.

NSW and ACT:

Hold onto your hats, folks! It seems like Mother Nature is up to her usual antics with a high pressure system causing all sorts of chaos over the Tasman Sea. As if that wasn't enough, we've got a low pressure trough lurking over the inland, just waiting to stir up some trouble. And if you thought that was bad, just wait until the next cold front and its pesky trough decide to crash the party this weekend. So, if you find yourself in the path of these storms or heatwaves, make sure to stay safe and secure any loose items. It's going to be a wild ride, but with a little caution, we can weather the storm – both literally and figuratively.

VIC:

Hold onto your hats, folks! A high pressure system is taking a leisurely stroll over the Tasman Sea and will be waltzing its way eastward on Thursday evening. As this system does its thing, get ready for a warm and sticky northeasterly airstream to sweep across Victoria on Friday. This will be accompanied by a low pressure trough sauntering over South Australia, making its way to western Victoria on Friday and then strutting its stuff in central and eastern parts on Saturday before making a swift exit eastward on Sunday. But wait, there's more! The next high pressure system in the Bight will be flexing its muscles and building a ridge over Victoria on Sunday and Monday. So, be sure to stay safe and hydrated during this stormy and heatwave-filled weekend, folks!

SA:

Well, it seems like Mother Nature has decided to stir things up a bit with a high pressure system over the Tasman Sea, bringing in a northerly airstream that's sure to make things interesting. A trough is set to make an appearance on Thursday evening, making its way across coastal districts before meandering northeastwards over the weekend. And just when you thought it was safe to come out, a high pressure ridge will be moving in to shake things up even more over the weekend and into next week. So, folks, it looks like we're in for some stormy weather and scorching heatwaves ahead. Remember to stay safe and prepared as these weather patterns make their way through the State. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to dealing with Mother Nature's temper tantrums.

WA:

Well, it looks like Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody again, with a high pressure ridge causing some gusty southwesterly winds in the western Pilbara. Meanwhile, a trough is extending its reach from the inland central Pilbara into the Interior, just to keep things interesting. And to top it off, there's a tropical low lurking over offshore waters to the north of the Kimberley, ready to stir up some trouble over the weekend. So, as always, stay safe out there and make sure to keep an eye on the forecast to avoid getting caught in any stormy situations. And remember, when it comes to heatwaves and storms, it's better to be safe than sorry.

TAS:

Get ready for some wild weather down in Tasmania as a low-pressure system decides to make itself at home for the weekend. Brace yourself for stormy conditions on Saturday before a cold front swoops in to spice things up even more. Don't get too comfortable though, as a cooler breeze will be blowing in from the west on Sunday and Monday. Remember to stay safe and secure any loose items, because Mother Nature is feeling extra feisty this weekend.

NT:

Ah, it appears we have a little trough loitering over the Timor and Arafura Seas, near the west coast of the Top End. Meanwhile, a ridge is flexing its muscles over northeastern Australia, causing some humid northeasterly winds to sweep through the Territory this week. And just when you thought it couldn't get more exciting, a trough from Western Australia is planning a weekend getaway to the southern NT. So, brace yourselves for some stormy weather and possibly even a heatwave. Remember to stay safe and keep hydrated as you navigate through this atmospheric rollercoaster. You never know what surprises Mother Nature has in store for us next!
