National Synoptic Situation

Max/Min/Rain for 4 days

Synoptic Situation for

QLD:

Get ready for some wild weather, folks! A high pressure system is making its way into the Tasman Sea, bringing with it the potential for storms and heatwaves. This system will slowly drift east over the next few days, creating a ridge over the state. Keep an eye out for a trough that may move into southern Queensland on Saturday, bringing more unpredictable weather. Remember to stay safe and prepared for any extreme conditions that may come your way.

NSW and ACT:

Well, it seems like we've got some interesting weather patterns happening in our neck of the woods. A slow moving trough is making its way along the coast, bringing with it a southerly wind change. Don't worry, it's not here to stay - it'll weaken and stall along the Mid North Coast. Meanwhile, we've got another trough just hanging out in the north central inland. But wait, there's more! Thursday and Friday are looking like a high pressure system in the Tasman Sea will extend a ridge over most of the state. Sounds fancy, right? And just when you thought things were calming down, a cold front and its associated trough are set to cross the south and west of the state this weekend. It'll then decide to take a break and stall about the North Coast on Sunday and into early next week. So, in other words, stay safe out there, folks. Keep an eye out for any storms or heatwaves that may come your way. And remember, it's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to unpredictable weather.

VIC:

Looks like we've got a high pressure system hanging out in the Tasman Sea, slowly creeping eastward. As it moves, a warm and sticky northeasterly airstream is set to sweep across Victoria on Thursday. Meanwhile, a low pressure trough is gearing up over South Australia, ready to make its way over to western Victoria by Friday, and then spread its stormy vibes to central and eastern parts by Saturday. But fear not, the trusty high pressure system in the bight will come to the rescue on Sunday, bringing some much-needed relief. So, stay safe out there and keep an eye out for any stormy surprises heading your way!

SA:

Well, it seems we have a high pressure system loitering over the Tasman Sea, causing a northeasterly airstream to sweep through the State. This setup is setting the stage for a trough to saunter its way across coastal districts on Thursday, followed by a slow meander northeastwards over the remaining districts on Friday and Saturday. As if that weren't enough excitement, a high pressure ridge will make its grand entrance over the south during the weekend. So, brace yourselves for potential storms and heatwaves, and remember to stay safe out there!

WA:

Well, it seems that Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody today, with a high pressure ridge strutting in from the west and bringing some sassy southwesterly winds to the western Pilbara. Meanwhile, a trough is making itself comfy from the inland central Pilbara into the Interior. And to top it all off, there's a tropical low possibly lurking over offshore waters north of the Kimberley this weekend. So, if you find yourself caught in the crosshairs of these weather shenanigans, remember to stay safe and keep an eye out for any stormy surprises or heatwave hijinks. Mother Nature may be unpredictable, but that doesn't mean we can't be prepared.

TAS:

Prepare for some wild weather in Tasmania! A ridge extending from a high over the Tasman Sea will bring storms and heatwaves on Thursday. By Friday, a trough will sweep in from the northwest, sticking around until Saturday when a cold front crashes the party in the afternoon. Sunday will bring relief with cooler west to southwesterly winds as a high lazily moves over the Bight. Remember folks, stay safe and be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws your way!

NT:

Hold onto your hats, folks, because it looks like we're in for some wild weather this week! With a trough making its way across the northwest Top End and a ridge strengthening over northeastern Australia, we can expect some stormy conditions ahead. The humid northeasterly winds blowing across the Territory will keep things interesting. But wait, there's more! A trough from Western Australia is set to join the party and move into southern NT by Saturday. This means we could be in for some intense heatwaves as well. So, remember to stay safe and stay hydrated as we weather the storm together.

It's like a sauna out there, folks. So, while you're out and about enjoying the show that Mother Nature is putting on, remember to stay safe. Keep hydrated, seek shade when you can, and maybe invest in a portable fan. Let's not let these storms and heatwaves rain on our parade. Stay cool, stay safe, and enjoy the weather extravaganza!
