National Synoptic Situation

Max/Min/Rain for 4 days

Synoptic Situation for

QLD:

Looks like we're in for a real treat with a ridge hanging around for the next few days. A lovely cloud band will be making its way through the state, thanks to an upper trough that's weakening as we speak. By Thursday, a high will be drifting over the Tasman Sea, bringing some calm to our stormy lives. But don't get too comfortable, a cheeky trough might pop up in southern Queensland over the weekend, causing a bit of a stir. So stay safe out there, folks, and be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws our way.

NSW and ACT:

Looks like we've got some interesting weather patterns coming our way! A trough decided to take a detour inland yesterday, but now it's just hanging out and losing its strength. Meanwhile, another cold front and its trusty sidekick, the trough, are making their grand entrance in the southern inland. Brace yourselves for some wet conditions with showers and storms in the west. As we head into Wednesday, the front and its trusty trough will bring a southerly wind change along the southern and central parts of the coast. Don't worry, they'll eventually make their way to the Mid North Coast and set up camp for a bit. But wait, there's more! The next cold front and its loyal trough are gearing up to sweep across the southern and western areas of the state this weekend. They'll make a pit stop on the north coast on Sunday and hang around through the beginning of the new week. Remember, when storms and heatwaves come knocking, it's important to stay safe and be prepared. Keep an eye on the forecast and take necessary precautions to weather the storm, both literally and figuratively. Stay safe out there!

VIC:

Hold onto your hats, folks! A low pressure trough is making its way through central and eastern districts, ready to clear Victoria by late evening. Meanwhile, a high pressure system south of the Bight is gearing up to sprint across southern Victoria on Wednesday, eventually settling over the Tasman Sea by nightfall. As if that wasn't enough excitement, a warm and humid northeasterly airstream is set to sweep across Victoria on Thursday, courtesy of a broad inland low pressure trough forming over South Australia. This trough is expected to meander its way through Victoria on Friday before finally making its grand exit east of the State by late Saturday. But wait, there's more! The next high pressure system in the bight is already flexing its muscles, ready to build a ridge east over Victoria on Sunday. So hold onto your sunscreen and umbrellas, folks, and stay safe out there in the stormy heatwave ahead!

SA:

Get ready for some exciting weather patterns this week, folks! We've got a high pressure system setting up shop over the Bight, followed by a trough making its way across coastal districts. And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, a high pressure ridge will be moving in over the weekend. With all these weather changes happening, it's important to stay safe and prepared. Storms and heatwaves could be on the horizon, so make sure you have your sunscreen and umbrellas ready. And remember, when it comes to weather, it's always better to be safe than sorry.

WA:

Get ready for some exciting weather, folks! A high pressure ridge is swooping in from the west, bringing those cool southwesterly winds to the western Pilbara. Meanwhile, a cheeky little trough is stretching from the inland eastern Pilbara right into the Interior. With these weather patterns in play, we might just see some storms brewing and heatwaves coming our way. So, stay safe out there and make sure you're prepared for whatever Mother Nature decides to throw our way.

TAS:

Prepare for some wild weather this week as a low pressure trough stirs up trouble before making its exit. A high pressure system will then swoop in from the north, followed by a ridge extending over the Tasman Sea. But don't get too comfortable, as a pesky trough will make its way across the state on Friday, lingering into Saturday before a cold front crashes the party in the evening. Stay safe and be sure to keep an eye out for any stormy surprises or scorching heatwaves heading your way!

NT:

Get ready for some wild weather this week, with a trough causing havoc in the northwest Top End and a ridge flexing its muscles over northeastern Australia. Expect humid northeasterly winds to sweep through the Territory, making you sweat more than a pig in a sauna. To add to the drama, a trough from Western Australia will crash the party in southwestern NT by the weekend. Stay safe out there, folks, and be prepared for any storms or heatwaves that may come your way. Remember, it's better to be safe than sorry when Mother Nature decides to show off her power.

Wednesday, 4th December

Watch out for those scattered showers and thunderstorms spreading across the state like a bad rash. Central Queensland and the far southeast are only getting showers, how unlucky for them! Don't forget about those isolated thunderstorms lurking around the Wide Bay area, they're just waiting to crash the party. Far northern Queensland is getting hit with showers left and right, they must have forgotten their umbrella. Keep an eye out for possible severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall in the southern interior, it's like a storm is brewing up a tantrum. And let's not forget about those temperatures, slightly below average in the far north and southern interior, they just couldn't handle the heat. Stay safe out there, folks, and make sure to pack your sunscreen and umbrellas!

Thursday, 5th December

Looks like Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody today, with isolated showers and thunderstorms scattered across the state. The east coast is only getting showers, while the Central Coast, far northern Queensland, and southeast interior are in for some scattered to widespread rain. Maximum temperatures are below average in the northwest and northern interior, but near average elsewhere. So, stay safe out there and be prepared for some stormy weather or scorching heatwaves. Mother Nature doesn't mess around, folks!

Friday, 6th December

Prepare yourselves, dear residents of this fine state, for some scattered showers and thunderstorms. It seems the eastern districts south of Townsville and the central interior may only experience showers, while the North Tropical Coast and Peninsula coasts are in for some widespread precipitation. Maximum temperatures will be below average in certain areas, but fear not, for they will be near average elsewhere. Stay safe out there, especially during storms and heatwaves!

Saturday, 7th December

Hold onto your hats, because there's a chance of some isolated showers on the east coast, with a sprinkle of thunderstorms thrown in for good measure. If you find yourself in far northern Queensland or the far southwest, you might just get caught in a scattered shower. Meanwhile, it'll be partly cloudy in the central and southeastern interior โ€“ perfect weather for a picnic if you don't mind a little sun peeking through the clouds. Temperatures will be slightly above average down south, so make sure to stay hydrated and seek shade if you start to feel like you're melting. Up north, temperatures will be slightly below average, giving you a break from the scorching heatwaves that can make you feel like you're walking on the sun. So, whether you're facing a storm or a heatwave, remember to stay safe out there. And don't forget your umbrella or sunscreen โ€“ you never know when Mother Nature might decide to throw a curveball your way.
