State conditions

QLD:

Ah, it seems that Queensland is in for some weather excitement! A trough is making its presence known from northwestern Queensland to the Capricornia and just off the southeast coast. But fear not, a new firm ridge and southeasterly change are on the horizon, ready to shake things up along the east coast. This trough means business and will be making its way back into the west and interior starting tomorrow. It will deepen over the southwest on Thursday, before embarking on a journey eastward later in the week. By the weekend, it will have reached the east of the state, ready to show off its full potential. With storms and heatwaves potentially on the horizon, it's important to stay safe and be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws our way. So buckle up and enjoy the weather rollercoaster ahead!

NSW and ACT:

Looks like we've got a classic case of high pressure dominating the scene while a low pressure system lurks in the Tasman Sea, just waiting for its moment to shine. The ridge is strutting its stuff and flexing its muscles, with its high pressure buddy set to make an appearance on Wednesday. But hold onto your hats (literally), because a cold front is sneaking up on us and is expected to crash the party late Thursday into early Saturday, bringing a southerly change along for the ride. So, as we navigate through this rollercoaster of weather patterns, remember to stay safe and be prepared for any potential storms or heatwaves that may come our way. And always keep an eye on the forecast, because you never know when Mother Nature might decide to throw a curveball our way.

VIC:

Hold onto your hats, Victorians! A high pressure ridge is making its way eastwards into the Tasman Sea, bringing with it a northerly airstream that will stick around until the next front makes its grand entrance late Thursday. This front will be sauntering into western Victoria before shimmying out of the State by Friday morning. But fear not, another high pressure ridge will be sauntering in from late Friday, sticking around for the weekend like an unwanted guest at a party. So, stay safe out there, folks, and be prepared for whatever storms or heatwaves may come your way!

SA:

Hold onto your hats, folks! A high pressure system in Victoria is doing a little dance towards the Tasman Sea, while a cold front is gearing up to crash the party in the Bight. As if that wasn't enough excitement, a new ridge of high pressure will be strutting its stuff over SA later in the week. So, brace yourself for some stormy weather and scorching heatwaves. Remember to stay safe and keep cool in the chaos!

WA:

Ah, brace yourselves for some fun times ahead as a trough decides to crash the party inland, while a dry and fresh easterly flow sweeps across the land. Hold onto your hats, folks, because the weakening easterly flow is about to hand over the reins to the trough, making for an interesting day of weather shenanigans. With storms and heatwaves potentially on the horizon, it's important to stay safe and prepared for whatever Mother Nature decides to throw our way. So, keep an eye on the forecast and take necessary precautions to ensure you weather the storm (pun intended) with ease. Stay cool, stay safe, and keep an umbrella handy just in case.

TAS:

Hold onto your hats, Tasmania! We've got a high to the northwest extending a weak ridge over the state. This high is making moves - heading north on Wednesday and then over to the northern Tasman Sea on Thursday. But hold onto your sunscreen, because a hot northerly airstream is coming in hot on Thursday, followed by a cold front early Friday bringing a westerly change. And just when you thought it couldn't get any more exciting, on Saturday we've got a trough expected to cross embedded in the westerly stream. So buckle up, folks, it's going to be a wild ride of storms and heatwaves. Remember to stay safe out there and keep cool in the midst of all this weather madness!

NT:

Hold onto your hats, folks! There's a trough causing mischief in the northern Barkly and Tanami Districts, while a ridge is staking its claim in the south of the Northern Territory. Brace yourselves for some scorching temperatures in the southern and central regions as a trough gears up to sweep across the south on Thursday, unleashing showers and thunderstorms in its wake. But fear not, a new ridge will swoop in on Friday, offering some relief with cooler temperatures for a brief respite. Remember to stay safe amidst the storms and heatwaves!
