State conditions

QLD:

Hold onto your hats, folks! A tropical low is causing quite the commotion in the Coral Sea, extending a trough across far northern Queensland. This low will be making its grand exit to the east over the next few days, while the trough up north will be heading in the same direction, but at a slower pace. Meanwhile, a trough is stretching from northwestern Queensland to the southeastern interior, making its way offshore of the southeast coast on Tuesday. A new firm ridge and southeasterly change will follow closely behind. As if that's not enough excitement, the trough will be making a comeback in interior Queensland later in the week, with some deepening action happening over southwestern Queensland on Thursday. It will then make its way east towards the end of the week and into the weekend. So, batten down the hatches and stay safe out there, especially if you're in the path of these stormy shenanigans.

NSW and ACT:

Well, it seems that Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody down under. A cold front decided to take a detour into the southern Tasman Sea and transform into a low pressure system. Meanwhile, its friend, the trough, is making its way to the far northeast corner. Don't worry, though, a high pressure ridge will come to save the day and bring some peace and quiet for Christmas. But wait, there's more drama on the horizon! Hot, dry, and windy conditions are set to make a comeback before another cold front crashes the party later in the week. So, buckle up and stay safe out there, folks! Storms and heatwaves are no joke, so be prepared and take care.

VIC:

Hold onto your hats, folks! This high in the Bight is extending its ridge over Victoria, bringing with it some interesting weather patterns. As it moves east, it will be centred over southern Victoria by late Tuesday, and then make its way into the Tasman Sea by late Wednesday. This means a northerly airstream will be sticking around until the next front decides to make an appearance. Keep an eye out for any storms or heatwaves that may come your way, and remember to stay safe out there!

SA:

Hold onto your hats, folks! A high pressure system is making its way out of SA, leaving behind a developing cold front to stir up some trouble in the Bight. But fear not, a new ridge of high pressure will swoop in to save the day later in the week. Just remember to stay safe and prepared for any storms or heatwaves that may come your way.

WA:

Well, would you look at that - it seems we've got a delightful trough extending from the Kimberley all the way to the Pilbara coast. And just to spice things up, there's a dry and fresh easterly flow making its way across the inland areas. But fear not, my friends, for the easterly flow will soon be taking a chill pill starting Monday, giving the trough the opportunity to strut its stuff over to the inland Pilbara and the Interior by Tuesday. So, be sure to stay safe out there and keep an eye out for any storms or heatwaves that may come your way. Safety first, folks!

TAS:

Hold on to your hats, Tasmania! A high over the Bight is sending a cool southwesterly breeze your way. But don't get too comfortable, because those winds will be shifting to the west on Tuesday as the high moves in. By Wednesday, the high will be making its way northeast, bringing with it some warmer air. But don't get too excited, because a cold front is on the horizon for Friday. So, make sure to stay safe and prepared for any storms or heatwaves that may come your way. And remember, always listen to the experts and take precautions to protect yourself and your property. Stay safe, Tasmania!

NT:

Well, it seems like the weather is up to its usual shenanigans in the Northern Territory. A trough is causing trouble up north, while a ridge is chilling out in the south. Temperatures are set to climb again, so make sure you've got your fans and ice packs ready. But hold on to your hats, because there's a storm brewing. The trough is planning to saunter down south on Thursday, bringing along some showers and thunderstorms. And just when you thought it was safe to go outside, a new ridge is swooping in on Friday. So, while all this weather drama unfolds, remember to stay safe. Keep an eye out for any storms or heatwaves and make sure you're prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws your way.
