National Synoptic Situation

Max/Min/Rain for 4 days

Synoptic Situation for

QLD:

Watch out for those pesky coastal troughs hanging around central and southeast Queensland - they'll be stirring up some shower and thunderstorm action in the area. And don't forget about that weak ridge down south, it's just chillin' there, potentially ramping up those moist onshore winds along the east coast. Keep an eye out for that broad trough forming up north near Cape York Peninsula - it might just extend further down the line later this week. So, remember to stay safe out there, folks! Keep an umbrella handy for those sudden storms and stay hydrated in the heatwave. Mother nature can be a tricky one, so be prepared for anything!

NSW and ACT:

Prepare yourselves as temperatures rise in inland New South Wales, thanks to a delightful combination of high pressure and northerly winds. But fear not, for a cold front will soon grace us with its presence, bringing a welcome change and some gusty winds. Stay safe as this front moves across the region, followed by a high pressure system and a developing trough. And remember, when it comes to storms and heatwaves, safety always comes first.

VIC:

Batten down the hatches, folks, because we've got a high pressure system hanging out over the Tasman Sea this Sunday. And if that's not exciting enough for you, we've got a front heading towards western Victoria. Brace yourselves for some stormy weather as this front is set to make its way through the state, causing chaos as it goes. But fear not, for the next high in the Bight is slowly extending a ridge over Victoria from Tuesday, bringing some much-needed calm after the storm. So make sure to stay safe and keep an eye on the weather updates to avoid getting caught in any heatwaves or wild weather. It's all just part of the fun of living in this unpredictable world of weather, isn't it?

SA:

Well, it seems like Mother Nature is really cranking up the heat with a hot airstream coming our way thanks to a high pressure system in the Tasman Sea. But don't fret, a trough is on its way to bring some relief on Monday, followed by a new high pressure system setting up shop south of the Bight on Tuesday. In the meantime, be sure to stay safe and cool during this stormy and sizzling weather!

WA:

Well, it seems like Mother Nature has decided to throw a little temper tantrum up in northern WA with a broad area of low pressure. This could mean some stormy weather on the horizon, so be sure to stay safe and keep an eye on the forecast. And if that's not enough excitement for you, there's also the possibility of some scorching heatwaves coming your way. So buckle up, folks, it's going to be a wild ride!

TAS:

Hold onto your hats, Tasmania! We've got a high pressure centre making its way eastward today, followed by a cold front coming in hot from the west on Monday. This means we'll be getting hit with some stronger and warmer northerly winds. But don't get too comfortable, because Monday evening will bring a cooler westerly flow as the front crosses. And just when you thought it couldn't get any more exciting, an embedded trough will be crossing later on Tuesday, bringing those southwesterly winds along for the ride. So make sure to batten down the hatches and stay safe out there! But fear not, Wednesday will bring some relief as those southwesterlies ease up thanks to a high moving in. Just in time for Thursday when the high slowly moves away to the southeast. So stay safe, Tasmania, and weather the storm (literally) with caution!

NT:

Well, it seems Mother Nature is feeling particularly generous with her gifts of low pressure and scorching temperatures in the Northern Territory. Brace yourselves for a prolonged heatwave as the mercury rises across large swathes of the region. To add to the excitement, a ridge will be making an appearance in southern NT from Tuesday. Remember to stay safe and cool during these stormy and sweltering times!
