National - Warnings - 4 Day - State - Min-Max-Rain - Regional Round-Up
National
Well, it seems we've got a trough making its way across southeastern and central Queensland, like a guest who has overstayed their welcome at a party. This trough will eventually push off the east coast by Friday morning, hopefully taking the hint and leaving for good. Meanwhile, a large high will be hanging out in the Great Australian Bight, flexing its muscles and strengthening a ridge over most of the state from Friday onwards. But wait, there's more! This high may decide to pack its bags and head over to the Tasman Sea by Tuesday or Wednesday, leaving us wondering if we offended it in some way. And just when you thought things couldn't get any more exciting, a trough might pop up in the far west on Sunday or Monday, drawing moisture well inland like a magnet for humidity. This trough could then saunter eastward next week, bringing with it a cloud band that will make us all feel like we're in a giant game of weather charades.

Friday, 13th September
Well, it seems like the temperatures will be reaching lofty heights in the Gulf Country, Northern Goldfields, Upper Flinders, Central West, North West, and Channel Country Districts. Time to break out the sunscreen and stay hydrated, folks!
Saturday, 14th September
There will be some isolated showers on the east coast and in the northern interior, especially east of Hughenden. These showers may become more scattered around the Central Coast and northeast tropical coast north of Townsville. Don't be surprised if the showers decide to throw a party around the Cassowary Coast and Daintree. As for the rest of the region, expect mostly sunny skies. If you're on the central and northeast tropical coasts, be prepared for some fresh and gusty southeasterly winds. In the west and northern interior, dry and gusty winds are causing high fire danger ratings. So, maybe hold off on those bonfires for now. The maximum temperatures will be below average in the southeast, but near average elsewhere. So, if you were hoping for a scorching hot day, you might need to look elsewhere.
Sunday, 15th September
Looks like Mother Nature has a little surprise in store for us today! Isolated showers will be hanging out in the eastern districts and over Cape York Peninsula, while scattered showers will be making an appearance on the exposed southeast coast and North Tropical Coast. Showers may even decide to throw a party and become widespread around the Cassowary Coast and Daintree. But wait, there's more! Isolated showers will be chilling in the western Gulf Country, mainly near the coast. Meanwhile, the rest of us will be enjoying mostly sunny skies. Just be aware that there may be some morning fog in the southeast to add a little mystery to the day. And to top it all off, we can look forward to some fresh and gusty south to southeasterly winds about the east coast. Maximum temperatures will be below average in the southeast, while the rest of us will be hanging out around near average temperatures. So grab your umbrella and hold onto your hats, it's going to be an interesting day out there!
Monday, 16th September
Grab your umbrellas, folks, because Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody today. Isolated showers will be making an appearance in the eastern districts and over Cape York Peninsula, while scattered showers will be scattered about the exposed southeast coast and North Tropical Coast. Don't be surprised if the showers decide to throw a party and become widespread around the Cassowary Coast and Daintree. As if the showers weren't enough, clouds will be rolling in towards the far west with isolated showers and even a chance of thunderstorms west of about Winton. Hold onto your hats because strong and gusty southeasterly winds will be making an appearance along the east coast north of Bundaberg. And remember to pack a jacket because maximum temperatures will be below average. Looks like Mother Nature is giving us a little taste of everything today, so buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Regional Round-Up
North Tropical Coast and Tablelands
Expect a dash of fog down south bright and early, just to keep things interesting. There's a slim chance of a coastal shower, but let's be honest, it's probably not going to happen. Winds will be doing their thing from the east to southeasterly at a breezy 20 to 30 km/h. Temperatures will drop overnight to a cool 12 to 19 degrees, but fear not, things will warm up to a balmy 24 to 30 degrees during the day. So basically, grab your sunglasses and sunscreen, because it's going to be a scorcher.
Herbert and Lower Burdekin
Expect some clouds, a touch of fog in the AM, and a sprinkle or two near the coast (but don't hold your breath elsewhere). Winds will start off light but then decide to switch things up in the middle of the day. Nighttime temps will cool down to a cozy 12-16 degrees, while daytime temps will climb to a toasty 27-32 degrees. So grab your sweaters and sunscreen, because this weather just can't make up its mind!
Central Coast and Whitsundays
We are in for a delightful mix of clouds and sunshine today, with a slight possibility of encountering some fog in the wee hours of the morning. There's also a slim chance of a passing shower to keep things interesting. Expect light winds that will eventually shift to a southeasterly direction, reaching speeds of 15 to 20 km/h in the morning before picking up to 15 to 25 km/h by midday. As night falls, temperatures will cool down to a comfortable range of 13 to 16 degrees, while daytime temperatures will peak between 26 and 31 degrees. So, grab your sunglasses and an umbrella, just in case, and enjoy the day ahead!
Peninsula
Expect a generous serving of sunshine today, with a sprinkle of showers possible along the east coast - don't get too excited, it's a slim chance. The winds will be coming from the east to southeasterly direction at a breezy 20 to 30 km/h. Overnight, temperatures will drop to a mild 15 to 22 degrees, while daytime temperatures will soar to a scorching 31 to 37 degrees. So, grab your sunscreen and stay hydrated, unless you enjoy feeling like a crispy snack in the heat!

Winds will be whipping around like a toddler in a candy store, coming from the south to southeasterly direction at 25 to 40 km/h. Overnight, temperatures will drop to a semi-bearable 17 to 22 degrees, but don't get too comfortable because daytime temperatures will soar into the mid to high 30s. Time to break out the sunscreen and ice packs!
Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders
Grab your sunglasses and brace yourself for a delightful day of mostly sunny weather. There's a slight chance of fog in the southeast during the wee hours of the morning, so be prepared to navigate through some mist like a seasoned explorer. The winds will be coming from the east to southeasterly direction at speeds of 25 to 40 km/h, so hold on to your hats, or they might just fly away. Temperatures will drop to a cool 12 to 18 degrees overnight, but fear not, as daytime temperatures will soar to a toasty 30 to 35 degrees. It's like Mother Nature is playing a game of temperature whiplash, so make sure to pack your layers accordingly.
Capricornia
Prepare yourself for a day of uncertainty in the sky. The morning may bring a mysterious fog, with a slight possibility of a shower to add some excitement. Winds will start off light, but will gradually increase to a southeasterly direction. Temperatures will play games with us, dropping to between 12 and 17 overnight, only to rise to the mid to high 20s during the day. Mother Nature sure has a sense of humor with this forecast!
Central Highlands and Coalfields
Prepare to bask in the glorious sunshine, with a slight chance of fog up north in the wee hours. Expect winds coming from the south to southeasterly at a leisurely pace of 15 to 25 km/h. Nighttime temperatures will drop to a somewhat chilly 10 to 17 degrees, while daytime temperatures will peak between 25 and 30 degrees. So, get ready to soak up those rays and enjoy the warmth while it lasts!
Central West
Looks like Mother Nature has decided to turn on the blow dryer today. Windy conditions with speeds ranging from 25 to 40 km/h will keep your hair in a perpetual state of disarray. Don't worry though, she'll eventually turn down the fan to a more manageable 15-25 km/h by the evening, giving your locks a chance to recuperate. Overnight temperatures will drop to a cool 11-17 degrees, so make sure to grab an extra blanket before hitting the hay. Daytime temperatures will be a toasty 27-32 degrees, so you might want to break out the sunscreen and turn up the A/C. Mother Nature sure knows how to keep us on our toes!
North West
Get ready to feel the burn as the sun shines brightly overhead. Winds will be doing a little dance, starting from the south and then switching to the southeast before calming down in the evening. Temperatures will be dropping overnight, so make sure to grab a blanket, with daytime highs reaching the low 30s. It's going to be a scorcher out there!
Channel Country
Looks like Mother Nature has decided to turn up the heat today! Expect sunny skies with some southeasterly winds blowing at a brisk 25 to 35 km/h. Overnight, temperatures will drop to a somewhat chilly 12 degrees, but don't worry - daytime temperatures will rebound to the mid to high 20s. So get ready to lather on that sunscreen and stay cool out there!
Maranoa and Warrego
Get ready to bask in the sun as strong southerly winds turn into even stronger southeasterly breezes. Overnight, temperatures will plummet to a brisk 7 to 11 degrees, so be sure to grab an extra blanket. During the day, expect to sweat it out in the mid-20s. So, grab your sunscreen and get ready to soak up those rays!
Darling Downs and Granite Belt
Expect some clouds and a possibility of rain in the east, with a slight chance elsewhere. Winds will be playing a game of musical chairs, starting off southeast to southwesterly before deciding to be light before dawn and then switching to south to southeasterly in the morning. Temperatures overnight will be dropping to a chilly 7 to 11 degrees, while daytime temperatures will be making their way to the low to mid 20s. So grab your umbrella and keep an eye out for those sneaky showers!
Wide Bay and Burnett
Looks like Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody today, with a high chance of showers expected around K'gari and a medium chance elsewhere. Light winds will start off the day before deciding to pick up speed and shift direction, as if they can't make up their minds. Overnight temperatures will drop to the chilly range of 11 to 15 degrees, so make sure to grab an extra blanket. Daytime temperatures will reach the not-too-shabby low to mid 20s, giving us a taste of that sweet, sweet sunshine.
Southeast Coast
Prepare yourselves for a day of partially cloudy skies. There is a rather high likelihood of rain in the northern regions during the morning hours, while the rest of us have a more moderate chance of precipitation. Be prepared for breezy conditions with winds blowing from the south to southeasterly at speeds of 20 to 30 km/h. As night falls, temperatures will drop to a cool 10 to 15 degrees, with daytime highs only reaching the low 20s. So grab your umbrellas and jackets, because it's going to be a wild ride!
