National Synoptic Situation
Well, it looks like we've got a trough extending from the northwest to the southeast of the state. This trough is set to drift north and weaken on Saturday. Meanwhile, a high will make its way into the Tasman Sea on Saturday, stretching a ridge over most of the state. However, this high will then casually drift east over the next few days. Keep an eye out for a trough moving into the far southwest on Monday, possibly crossing the southeast on Tuesday. And just when you thought things couldn't get more exciting, a second trough may show up in the southwest later in the week. Mother nature sure knows how to keep us on our toes!

Saturday, 2nd November
In the upper echelons of the central and southern regions, temperatures are expected to reach elevated levels.
Sunday, 3rd November
Prepare for a smattering of showers and a possible thunderstorm up in the northwest. You might want to bring an umbrella to protect yourself from the rain in the eastern districts and northern Cape York Peninsula, as there's a chance of showers. And don't forget your raincoat between Charters Towers and the Sunshine Coast, as there could be a rumble of thunder. Everywhere else, it's looking mostly sunny, so make sure to pack your sunglasses. Temperatures are going to be a bit on the toasty side in the southwest and southern interior, but in the far southwest, they'll be downright scorching. As for the rest of us, expect temperatures to be just about average. So, whether you're sweating in the far southwest or staying cool elsewhere, Mother Nature has a little something for everyone.
