National Synoptic Situation

There's a fancy trough making its way from the northwest to the southern interior of our beloved state. It's all set to grace southeast Queensland on Friday before casually drifting north and losing its mojo over the weekend. Meanwhile, a high is on a mission to travel east across the Great Australian Bight, spreading its ridge over southwest Queensland like a boss. By Saturday, this high will be chilling in the Tasman Sea, extending its ridge over most of the state, and then slowly making its way east in the days to come. But wait, there's more! A cheeky trough might sneak into the far southwest on Monday, possibly giving the far southeast a quick visit on Tuesday. And just when you thought the drama was over, a second trough is planning to hang out in the far southwest mid next week before making its grand entrance to the east later in the week. So buckle up, folks, it's going to be a wild ride in the world of weather!

Access G data may differ from Access R, they use different calculations, G is a Global Model, R is a Regional model.

Friday, 1st November

In the lofty regions of central and southern districts, with the exception of the Southeast Coast, Central Coast, and Whitsundays Districts.

Saturday, 2nd November

Grab your sunscreen and galoshes because Mother Nature is feeling a bit indecisive today. Expect some sunshine in the southwest, a touch of clouds along the northeast coast, and a smattering of showers and thunderstorms everywhere else. Don't be surprised if you find yourself dodging raindrops between Biloela and Kingaroy - those thunderstorms can be quite dramatic. Temperatures will be a bit below average in the southeast and Gulf Country District, but nothing too extreme. So, grab your umbrella and enjoy the show!

Sunday, 3rd November

Grab your umbrellas and lightning rods, because we're in for some isolated showers and a potential thunderstorm up in the northwest. Eastern districts and northern Cape York Peninsula might also experience some scattered showers, while the rest of us can enjoy mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be above average in the southwest and southern interior, and near average everywhere else. Time to break out the sunscreen and rain boots, folks!

Monday, 4th November

Prepare for some pesky showers and a possible thunderstorm down in the southeast and southern interior. There might also be a sprinkle or two up north along the coast and over northern Cape York Peninsula. The rest of the place will be soaking up the sun. Temperatures will be hotter than usual south of Longreach, scorching in the southern interior, and just about normal everywhere else.

Region Round-up - BOM

North Tropical Coast and Tablelands

Region Forecast: Get ready for a day of mostly sunshine, interrupted by a potential thunderstorm in the southern regions later on. Winds will be playing musical chairs, starting from the northeast to southeasterly at a leisurely 15 to 20 km/h, then taking a break before dawn, only to pick up again as east to northeasterly at the same speed around midday. Overnight, temperatures will drop to a mild 15 to 20 degrees, while daytime temperatures will soar to a toasty 30 to 35 degrees. So, pack your sunscreen and your umbrella, just in case Mother Nature decides to throw a tantrum.
