Expect an increase in showers and storms across the country's interior, spreading towards the east. Showers along the eastern seaboard, particularly on the NSW coast, will be more frequent due to onshore winds. The presence of a high-pressure system should maintain dry conditions for much of the remaining areas.

4 Day Forecast

  • Tuesday: Partly cloudy with isolated showers in east, scattered showers in South East Coast and Whitsundays. Light to moderate south-southeasterly winds, fresh and gusty at times on east coast.

  • Thursday: East coast isolated showers, Southeast Coast scattered showers, tropical coast, Peninsula, Torres Strait showers, widespread Cassowary Coast showers, interior cloud building with scattered showers, rain, isolated thunderstorms Channel Country, overnight temperatures well above average especially in west, near average daytime maxima.

  • Friday: Isolated showers along east coast, scattered in Southeast Coast, North Tropical Coast, eastern Peninsula, Torres Strait. Cloudy with showers, rain, possible thunderstorms in SW Queensland, mainly west of St George, south of Augathella. Mostly cloudy elsewhere. Mild overnight temps, average daytime max.

  • Saturday: Scattered showers in the east, cloudy with showers in some areas. Above average overnight temps, near average daytime highs..

Max temperature: 28°C, Min temperature: 17°C, Wind speed: 20-30 km/h, Wind direction: East to southeasterly, Rainfall: High chance of showers near the coast, medium chance elsewhere, Other: Partly cloudy, Overnight temperatures falling to between 17-22°C.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

Max temperature: 29°C, Min temperature: 17°C, Wind speed: 15 to 25 km/h, Wind direction: East to southeasterly, Rainfall: High chance of showers in the north, slight chance elsewhere, Cloudy.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

The weather will be partly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower, with maximum temperatures reaching 29°C, minimum temperatures falling to between 15-19°C, and east to southeasterly winds at 20-30 km/h.

Peninsula:

Max temperature in the low 30s, min temperature in the low 20s, wind speeds up to 30 km/h from the east to southeasterly directions, near zero chance of rain, and "Partly cloudy" weather with medium chance of showers north of Weipa, mainly in the evening.

Gulf Country:

The weather forecast includes daytime temperatures reaching the low 30s with easterly winds of 15-20 km/h becoming light later, overnight temperatures falling to 18-22, partly cloudy skies, and no rainfall expected.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

The weather forecast for tomorrow includes a maximum temperature of 32°C, minimum temperature of 16°C, easterly winds increasing from 15 to 35 km/h, slight chance of showers in the east, near zero chance elsewhere, and partly cloudy conditions.

Capricornia:

Central Highlands and Coalfields:

The weather forecast is for partly cloudy skies with easterly winds at 15 to 25 km/h, temperatures ranging from 11 to 29 degrees, and no rainfall expected.

Central West:

Max temperature 30°C, min temperature 13-18°C, wind easterly 25-35 km/h, partly cloudy with overnight temperatures dropping in range and possible rainfall.

North West:

Maximum temperature: 30°C, minimum temperature: 16-20°C, wind speed: 15-25 km/h, wind direction: southeasterly to easterly, rainfall: None, weather: Partly cloudy.

Channel Country:

High 20s, Between 15 and 19, 20 to 30 km/h, East to southeasterly, Near zero chance of rain, Partly cloudy.

Maranoa and Warrego:

The weather will be partly cloudy with easterly winds at 20 to 30 km/h, overnight temperatures dropping between 11 to 15°C, daytime temperatures reaching the mid to high 20s, and no significant rainfall expected.

Darling Downs and Granite Belt:

The maximum temperature will be in the low to mid 20s with a minimum overnight temperature around 11, with east to southeasterly winds at 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the evening and rainfall with a slight chance of a shower over the Granite Belt, near zero chance elsewhere, and mostly sunny conditions.

Wide Bay and Burnett:
