National

A rainband and some storms will spread from Australia's northwest to the southeast, driven by unseasonably warm, moist winds. A moist southwesterly airstream is expected to bring brisk winds and showers to southern Western Australia. Showers are likely for Queensland's east and the Northern Territory's north due to humid easterlies. A high-pressure system will clear inland areas of Western Australia..

State

Slow-moving high over Tasman Sea extends ridge to eastern Australia. High shifts slowly east, maintaining ridge. Upper level trough combines with tropical moisture to bring rain to western and southern inland Queensland. Weak surface trough weakens ridge, may form low pressure system in Tasman Sea. New ridge follows trough, possible new trough mid-week.
