National

A front and low-pressure system will bring rain and storms to Western Australia, eventually extending to South Australia's west, accompanied by warm and gusty winds across South Australia. Stronger, colder winds will follow the low in southwestern Western Australia. Meanwhile, a high-pressure system will maintain generally dry conditions across eastern and northern Australia, limiting showers to Queensland's east and the northeastern Northern Territory.

State

High pressure system over SE Australia leads to onshore winds, showers in the east, settled conditions elsewhere. High moving northeast into Tasman Sea maintains ridge over Queensland. Trough and tropical moisture to bring rain in western/southern QLD, possibly extending east later. Weak surface trough weakens ridge later in the week.
