A low will generate rain, storms & blustery winds across WA. Moist easterly winds feeding into QLD will cause further rain, heaviest in central parts. A low in the southeast will move away, causing brisk winds to ease & most showers to clear in southern NSW, VIC, TAS & SA.

  • Friday: Far west mostly sunny, isolated to scattered showers elsewhere. Showers becoming widespread in North Tropical Coast, Central Highlands, Coalfields District. Possible morning fog inland southeast Queensland. Above-average max temperatures west of Emerald.

  • Saturday: Expect sunny weather in the far west with some showers elsewhere. Showers may become widespread in the morning in certain areas. Potential for fog in southeastern Queensland. Above-average temperatures, especially inland west of Emerald.

  • Sunday: Partly sunny with scattered showers, rain in south/southeast, possible fog. Temps near/above average, well above inland west of Roma.

A trough brings moisture inland over central and southern Queensland, moving eastward by Friday. A ridge dominates the state until a new trough arrives early Sunday, followed by a high building a ridge over the state.

Max temperature: 29, Min temperature: 16, Wind speed: 15 to 25 km/h, Wind direction: Easterly, Rainfall: High chance of showers near coast, medium chance elsewhere, Other: Cloudy.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

Expect cloudy weather with high chance of showers, easterly winds at 15 to 20 km/h becoming light, overnight temperatures dropping to 16-21°C, and daytime temperatures in the mid to high 20s.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

The weather will be cloudy with a very high chance of showers, easterly winds at 15 to 20 km/h becoming light in the middle of the day, with temperatures ranging from 16 to 19 overnight and 22 to 27 during the day.

Peninsula:

Max temperature: Low to mid 30s; Min temperature: Low 20s; Wind speed: 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the evening, then 15 to 20 km/h late evening; Wind direction: East to southeasterly; Rainfall: High chance of showers near east coast, medium chance elsewhere; Additional conditions: Partly cloudy.

Gulf Country:

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

Capricornia:
