A powerful offshore low pressure system will continue to bring strong winds, large waves, and showers to southeast NSW, eastern VIC, and northeastern TAS. Meanwhile, central and southern WA and western SA can expect patchy rain and storms due to a persistent humid airstream. Elsewhere, dry conditions will prevail under the influence of a high-pressure system.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

Maximum temperature in the mid to high 20s, minimum temperature between 7 and 13, light winds, sunny weather with overnight and daytime temperatures and chance of rainfall.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

The weather will be sunny with light winds becoming south to southeasterly at 15 to 20 km/h in the morning, then becoming light later in the day, with temperatures ranging from 5 to 11°C overnight and 21 to 26°C during the day.

Peninsula:

The weather will feature daytime temperatures in the low 30s with overnight temperatures ranging from 11 to 17, light winds becoming easterly at 15 to 20 km/h midday turning light in the afternoon, and a forecast of sunny skies with no rainfall expected.

Gulf Country:

Max temperature: 30°C, Min temperature: 11-14°C, Wind speed: 15-35 km/h, Wind direction: South to southeasterly, Rainfall: None, Other: Sunny skies with decreasing wind speeds throughout the day.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:
