Tropical moisture will continue to stream over western Queensland, northwest New South Wales, eastern South Australia, and southeast Northern Territory, bringing heavy rain and some storms. An onshore flow around a high will bring showers to eastern New South Wales and Queensland, while keeping Victoria and Tasmania dry. A trough will cause showers and storms over western Western Australia.

  • Sunday: Showers likely on east coast, increasing in North Tropical Coast and Sunshine Coast. Rain, possible thunderstorms far west. Moderate to strong winds, locally heavy rain possible in Channel Country.

  • Monday: Mostly sunny in the northwest and northern interior with isolated to scattered showers elsewhere. Showers may become widespread at times with areas of rain and a chance of a thunderstorm in the southern interior. Fresh southeasterly winds in the northeast tropical coast. Temperatures near or below average in the far south and slightly above average elsewhere. Minimum temperatures above or well above average.

  • Tuesday: Some showers in eastern, central, and southern parts of the state. More widespread showers in Wet Tropics and southeast Queensland. Isolated thunderstorms possible in southeast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Below average daytime temperatures in southwest, slightly above average elsewhere. Above or well above average overnight temperatures.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

Maximum temperature: 26°C, Minimum temperature: 13°C, Wind speed: 15-25 km/h, Wind direction: East to southeasterly, Rainfall: Showers in the north, Cloud cover: Cloudy.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

The weather forecast includes daytime temperatures in the low to mid 20s with east to southeasterly winds at 20 to 30 km/h, a chance of showers mostly in the morning and afternoon, and overnight temperatures dropping to between 13 and 16 with partly cloudy conditions.

Peninsula:

Maximum temperature around 30, minimum temperature between 18 and 22 with easterly winds of 25 to 35 km/h and partly cloudy skies with showers in the east and minimal chance elsewhere.

Gulf Country:

The weather will be sunny with easterly winds at 15 to 25 km/h, with overnight temperatures dropping to between 16 and 19, and daytime temperatures around 30, and no rainfall expected.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

The weather forecast includes maximum temperatures of 30 degrees, minimum temperatures of 11 degrees, easterly winds blowing at 25 to 35 km/h, and partly cloudy conditions with overnight lows ranging from 11 to 16 degrees.

Capricornia:

The weather forecast includes maximum temperatures in the low to mid 20s, minimum temperatures between 10 and 14, with easterly to southeasterly winds at 15 to 25 km/h, partly cloudy skies, a slight chance of a shower, and falling overnight temperatures.

Central Highlands and Coalfields:

Wide Bay and Burnett:
