A Tasman Low brings strong winds, showers, and large waves to coastal NSW. An incoming cold front causes more showers, rain, and storms in southwest WA. High pressure results in a cold morning in southeastern Australia, with gusty winds in the north.

High pressure over southeast Australia extends firm ridge across state. Combining with Tasman Sea low, creating cool southerly airflow over Queensland. Pattern continues as systems move southeast. Weak trough may impact south over weekend.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

Max temperature: low to mid 20s, Min temperature: 6-12, Wind speed: light to 25 km/h, Wind direction: E to SE, Rainfall: slight chance of shower in the north, near zero elsewhere, Other: Partly cloudy.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

Max temperature: 25°C, Min temperature: 6°C, Wind speed: 25-35 km/h, Wind direction: East to southeasterly, Rainfall: Slight chance of shower along coastal fringe, Other: Partly cloudy with near zero chance of rain.

Peninsula:

The maximum temperature will reach 27 to 32 degrees with minimum temperatures around 13 to 20 degrees, east to southeasterly winds of 25 to 35 km/h, a medium chance of showers near the east coast in the morning, with other areas having a near zero chance of rain, and the weather will be partly cloudy.

Gulf Country:

Maximum temperature around 30, minimum temperature between 11-17, winds shifting from south to southeasterly at 15-25 km/h then becoming east to southeasterly at 20-30 km/h before dawn, with possible showers, and daytime sunny.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

Max temperature: 29°C, Min temperature: 5°C, Wind speed: 25 to 40 km/h easterly, Wind direction: Easterly, Rainfall: Sunny.

Capricornia:
