A front will move across southwestern WA, causing showers, some of which will be heavy. Strong winds ahead of the front will bring gusty showers to Tasmania. High pressure will draw moist winds to the Queensland coast, keeping the rest of the country clear and dry.

  • Monday: Some clouds with rare showers on the east coast and Torres Strait. Smoke around Cape York. Clear elsewhere. Moderate winds shifting from south to southwest in southeastern Queensland.

  • Tuesday: Isolated showers east coast and Torres Strait, becoming scattered in Cassowary Coast and Daintree. Sunny elsewhere, possible morning fog south, morning frost inland. Below-average minimum temperatures, slightly above-average maximum temperatures western and southern Queensland.

  • Wednesday: East Coast & Torres Strait: Isolated showers. North Tropical Coast: Scattered showers. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Patchy morning frost inland, southern Queensland. Coastal temps near average, inland & southeast above average.

  • Thursday: Isolated showers in some areas, partly cloudy with showers in others. Above average temperatures, especially in southwestern Queensland.

North Tropical Coast and Tablelands:

Max temperature: 27°C, Min temperature: 4°C, Wind speed: 20-30 km/h, Wind direction: East to southeasterly, Rainfall: Slight chance of shower near coast, Mostly sunny.

Herbert and Lower Burdekin:

Low to mid 20s for the max temperature, between 1 and 11 for the min temperature, winds becoming east to southeasterly at 15 to 20 km/h, expected rain and overnight temperature drop, with daytime conditions sunny with light winds.

Central Coast and Whitsundays:

Max temperature in the low to mid 20s, min temperature between 5 and 10, wind speeds 15 to 25 km/h shifting from south to southeasterly to light, sunny weather with light rainfall.

Peninsula:

Maximum temperature around 30 with overnight temperatures falling to between 10 and 19, light winds becoming east to southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h, slight chance of a shower near the east coast, near zero chance elsewhere, partly cloudy with patchy smoke haze in the west in the morning.

Gulf Country:

The maximum temperature will reach around 30 degrees, with minimum temperatures dropping to between 9 and 12 degrees. Wind speeds will range from 15 to 35 km/h, shifting from south to southeasterly to east to south-easterly throughout the day, with the possibility of rainfall.

Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders:

Maximum temperature: 28°C, Minimum temperature: 8°C, Wind speed: 20-30 km/h, Wind direction: East to southeasterly, Rainfall: None, Conditions: Sunny.

Capricornia:

Max temperature: low 20s, Min temperature: 3-8, Wind speed: 15-20 km/h, Wind direction: Southerly to southeasterly, Rainfall: None, Other: Sunny, Chance of morning frost in southwest.

Central Highlands and Coalfields:

Max temperature: low 20s, Min temperature: 1-6, Wind speed: Light becoming southeasterly 15-25 km/h, Wind direction: southeasterly, Rainfall: Sunny, Other: Patches of morning frost in the south.

Central West:

The weather forecast includes a max temperature in the low to mid 20s, a min temperature between 2 and 6, winds increasing from southeasterly to east to southeasterly, with sunny conditions and morning frost in the southeast, and overnight temperatures reaching 2 to 6.

North West:

Max temperature: mid to high 20s, Min temperature: 5-9, Wind: Southeasterly 25-35 km/h, Rainfall: Sunny, Overnight temperatures falling to 5-9.

Channel Country:

The weather will be sunny with light winds in the morning becoming southeasterly at 15 to 25 km/h, then light in the evening, with overnight temperatures dropping to 3-6°C and daytime temperatures in the low to mid 20s.
