National

A low-pressure system is set to deliver showers and thunderstorms to southwest WA. Meanwhile, a lively westerly flow will bring gusty showers to southern SA, VIC, TAS, and NSW, with some of those showers even turning into snow on the Alps. High pressure will keep things interesting in Queensland, bringing onshore showers to the northern coast while letting dry heat take over the interior.

National 4 Day Forecast

Windy.com ACCESS 4 Day 2PM Rain and Synoptic

Thursday: We've got some isolated showers hanging around the east coast north of Hervey Bay and over northern Cape York Peninsula today. Everywhere else is looking mostly clear for now. Keep an eye out for light to moderate winds coming from the northeast to southeasterly direction, with a switch to northwest to northeasterly winds inland south of Emerald and along the southeast coast. In southwestern Queensland, expect those winds to change up to southeast to southwesterly later on. Stay weather-wise and enjoy your day!"

Friday: Sure thing! Here's a more light-hearted and simplified version of the weather forecast:

Friday: A mix of isolated showers along the east coast, in the southeast, and over northern Cape York Peninsula. Showers may become more scattered to widespread north of Ingham. The rest of the regions will be mostly sunny, with a chance of morning fog in some places south of Ingham. Temperatures will be well above average in the southwest, and highs will also be above average, especially farther inland. So, don't forget your umbrella if you're in the east, but otherwise, enjoy the sunshine!

Saturday: Eastern areas north of Brisbane might see a few isolated showers, especially over northern Cape York Peninsula. These showers could become a bit more scattered at times north of Ingham. The southwest is expected to be mostly sunny, while the rest of the region will experience plenty of sunshine. Overnight temperatures in the southwest will be higher than usual, and daytime temperatures will be above average, especially inland where it might even feel toasty!

Sunday: Expect a few isolated showers in the east near Gladstone and over northern Cape York Peninsula. They might come and go around Ingham. The southwest will have plenty of sunshine, while other areas will be sunny too. It's going to be quite warm in the southern interior overnight, with temperatures soaring above average during the day—especially inland!

State

Windy.com ACCESS (Values are rainfall over 3 hours)

A big high is strolling through New Zealand, spreading a ridge over most of our beautiful state. Meanwhile, a dainty trough will skip across southeastern Queensland on Thursday, then take off to the southeast coast on Friday morning. On Friday, a fresh high will saunter into the Tasman Sea, throwing a ridge party over the state. This high will casually drift east over the weekend, keeping that ridge vibe going strong. Come Monday, a new trough could swing by southern Queensland, but it'll lose steam by Tuesday. And hey, looking ahead, another trough might pop by late next week. Stay tuned for the weather adventures ahead!
