National

Rain, storms, and gusty winds are gearing up to sweep across southwest WA as a low makes its way south. Meanwhile, showers and gusty winds will start to chill out over SA's southeast, VIC, and NSW as a front drifts into the Tasman. A high-pressure system will politely nudge showers away from most of SA, keeping the rest of the area nice and dry.

National 4 Day Forecast

Windy.com ACCESS 4 Day 2PM Rain and Synoptic

Sunday: A perfectly clear evening awaits in the east and north, bringing warmth and mild southeasterly breezes for our northern Queensland pals. Meanwhile, down south, things might get a bit wind-crazy with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly gusts, especially if you find yourself in the southeast. So hold onto your hats, folks!

Monday: Get ready for a sunshower dance in Torres Strait! There might be a sprinkle here and there along the coast, but don't worry, it's just nature's way of keeping things interesting. Watch out for some fog too - seems like Rockhampton wants to play hide-and-seek with us. And hey, the temperatures are just showing off a bit, flaunting their above-average style. Just another day in sunny Queensland!

Tuesday: You can expect the weather to be playing its own version of hide and seek - with some sneaky showers popping up around the coast north of Ingham and in southeastern Queensland. Don't be surprised if you spot those raindrops partying a bit more enthusiastically around the Cassowary Coast. As for the rest of us, the sun will be shining bright like a boss. Temperatures will be doing their own thing too, with some areas staying cool as cucumbers while others are turning up the heat like they're at a summer BBQ. And when it comes to overnight lows, well, let's just say Mother Nature's got her thermostat set a bit higher than usual.

Wednesday: Spotty showers hanging out on the east coast and Torres Strait, but everywhere else is soaking up the sunshine. Temps are winking at average near the coast, flirting with above average elsewhere, and totally showing off out west. Nighttime temps? Well, they're feeling a bit extra.

State

Windy.com ACCESS (Values are rainfall over 3 hours)

Picture this: A cheeky trough from the Tasman Sea is gallivanting east across southern Queensland, leaving westerly winds in its wake. Not to be outdone, a high in the Southern Ocean will sashay in on Sunday, graciously draping a delicate ridge over the state in the trough's wake. The high will then strut northeast into the Tasman Sea on Monday, stirring up those winds and reviving sporadic showers along the east coast for the rest of the week. As if that wasn't enough, a timid trough might make a cameo in southwestern Queensland on Tuesday, potentially scooting east by Thursday. Oh, the drama of the weather!
