Thursday: Central and southeast QLD will see showers, with a chance of thunder hanging around the coast. Showers in SE QLD will take a break later on. The west and north are keeping it clear, while the rest of the region is just flirting with clouds. Hazardous surf on some coasts will calm down, and the southeast gets moderate to fresh winds, with lighter breezes elsewhere.
Friday: Expect a few showers in south-central SE QLD, but the rest of the region will bask in the sunshine. Morning fog might sneak into SE QLD, and temperatures will be above average, especially in the southwest where it's getting toasty.
Saturday: Sunshine dominates, but a few isolated showers might crash the party in some areas. Moderate westerly winds will pick up, and there's a chance of morning fog inland. Temperatures remain above average, and it’s getting close to scorching in the southwest.
Sunday: The far Peninsula east coast might see a few isolated showers, but everywhere else is sticking with sunny vibes. SE Queensland will feel moderate to fresh westerly winds. Maximum temperatures are staying above average, with the southwest and south interior starting the day near or below average.
State
Windy.com ACCESS (Values are rainfall over 3 hours)
The high over the Tasman Sea is losing its mojo, with the upper trough drifting offshore and the surface trough packing its bags and heading away from the coast. Come Saturday, a fresh trough will roll in, bringing a dry westerly breeze along for the ride, followed by a chill, laid-back ridge.
