National Synoptic Situation
Synoptic Situation for
QLD:
Seems like we've got some interesting weather patterns coming our way. A ridge is getting stronger along the east coast, thanks to a high pressure system strolling across the Tasman Sea. Meanwhile, a weak trough in southeast Queensland is on its last legs and will fade away tonight. Keep an eye out for a trough in western Queensland making its way east over the weekend, then hitting central and southern Queensland early next week before making a beeline for the southeast coast on Tuesday. After that, a new ridge will strut its stuff along the east coast, teaming up with an upper trough to whip up some rainy action along the east coast of Queensland from mid to late next week. So, stay safe out there and be prepared for any stormy or scorching hot weather that may come your way!
NSW and ACT:
Hold on to your hats, folks! We've got a ridge building up along the coast, thanks to a high pressure system shimmying its way to the Tasman Sea. Meanwhile, a trough is hanging out from Queensland into the northern inland of New South Wales. Expect those northerly winds to kick up a notch as the heat cranks up. But don't get too comfortable, because wet conditions are on the horizon for Sunday and Monday as a cold front sweeps across the state. The good news is, after all that excitement, we can look forward to some relatively calm weather from Tuesday onwards as a ridge settles in across the south and east. So stay safe out there and weather those storms and heatwaves like a pro!
VIC:
Hold onto your hats, folks! It looks like we've got a high pressure system causing quite the stir over the southern Tasman Sea, as a trough and cold front make their way over from the west. Brace yourselves for some stormy weather as the front is set to sweep across the state, bringing with it a fresh west to southwesterly airstream. Remember to stay safe and secure any loose items as the winds pick up. The high and ridge are expected to stick around for a bit, so make sure you're prepared for any heatwaves or storms that may come our way. Stay safe out there!
SA:
Well, it seems like we have some interesting weather patterns happening in South Australia this weekend. A cold front and trough are making their way across the region, bringing with them a northerly flow. As if that wasn't enough, a high pressure system is gearing up to take over south of the Bight next week. It's like a weather battle royale out there! With all these changes in the atmosphere, we may see some storms and heatwaves in the coming days. So, remember to stay safe and be prepared for any extreme weather conditions that may come your way. It's always better to be safe than sorry when dealing with Mother Nature's unpredictable moods.
WA:
Well, isn't it just delightful that a vast expanse of low pressure has decided to grace the Pilbara, Kimberley, and North Interior with its presence? It seems that Mother Nature has quite the sense of humor, throwing this little weather tantrum our way. Just a friendly reminder to stay safe out there, as storms and heatwaves may be on the horizon. So buckle up, folks, and prepare for some interesting weather patterns in the coming days.
TAS:
Hold onto your hats, Tasmania! We've got some warm northerly winds blowing in ahead of a cold front making its way towards us from the west. This cold front is bringing some stormy weather with it, so make sure to batten down the hatches and stay safe. As the front passes over on Sunday, we'll also see a low pressure system tagging along, but don't worry - it weakens as it moves through in the evening. By Monday, a high pressure ridge will start to build in from the west, bringing some relief from the stormy weather. So hang in there, folks, and stay safe during these turbulent times!
NT:
Well, it seems like Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody up in the Northern Territory. We've got some scattered showers and thunderstorms hanging out in the northern and central parts. And just when you thought it was safe to come out, those storms are planning to crash the party down south tonight and into Sunday. But fear not, fellow weather enthusiasts, for a southeasterly surge is on its way to save the day. This surge will bring cooler, drier winds across the southern and central NT, giving us a much-needed break from the stormy drama. So, stay safe out there and don't forget your umbrella, just in case Mother Nature decides to throw another tantrum.
