Synoptic Situation
Well, it seems we've got a high chillin' in the Tasman Sea, extending its weak ridge over eastern Queensland. Meanwhile, a trough in southwestern Queensland is feeling adventurous and ready to move east across southern Queensland on Friday, then make its way to the eastern districts on Saturday before taking a vacation offshore by Sunday. As if that's not enough excitement, a weak high might make an appearance in southeastern Australia on Sunday, eventually making its way to the Tasman Sea early next week and extending a weak ridge over the east of the state. It's like a soap opera for weather patterns out there!

Friday, 20th September
Looks like Mother Nature is feeling a bit fiery today, folks! The fire danger is high across much of the interior, with things getting locally extreme in the southwestern and central regions. So, if you were thinking of roasting marshmallows over an open campfire, you might want to think again. Stay safe out there, and maybe consider investing in a fire extinguisher or two. Just a thought.
Saturday, 21st September
Prepare yourselves for a riveting weather report, my dear companions! We are in for a delightful mix of isolated showers in the east and over Cape York Peninsula, with a sprinkling of scattered to widespread rain in the southeast, south of Gladstone. Hold onto your hats, as there is even a chance of a thunderstorm to add a little excitement to our day. Fear not, for the rest of the state shall bask in mostly sunny skies. Keep an eye out for possible morning fog between Cairns and Rockhampton, just to keep things interesting. And do take note, our maximum temperatures will be above average, except in the southwest where they may dip to near or slightly below average levels. Isn't weather talk simply thrilling?
Sunday, 22nd September
Looks like a sprinkle here, a sprinkle there up in the far north and southeast. Clouds might crash the party out west later on. Everywhere else, expect the sun to shine bright. Temperatures will be higher than usual, except for the far southwest where it might be just okay. And don't forget your jacket, it's going to be a bit chilly in most parts of the state.
Monday, 23rd September
Prepare yourselves for a day of abundant sunshine throughout most of the state, with a slight chance of clouds in the far west. Expect temperatures to be higher than normal, especially in the southeastern interior where it will be scorching. In the rest of the state, temperatures will be on the cooler side. Time to break out the sunscreen and stay hydrated!
