National Synoptic Situation

Well, it seems like a high in the Great Australian Bight is really showing off by extending a ridge over most of the state. Meanwhile, a trough is just hanging out across the interior, probably waiting for something exciting to happen. Watch out for another trough making its way eastwards across the south of the state on Thursday and Friday, before deciding to take a vacation offshore on Friday and into Saturday. Oh, the drama of weather patterns!

Thursday, 31st October

Watch out folks, those flames are really getting frisky down south! And don't even get me started on the central and northern interior - it's like a tinderbox waiting to explode. So, if you're thinking of having a bonfire or lighting up the grill, maybe think again. Just a friendly reminder that Mother Nature is not messing around with those high fire dangers. Stay safe out there, people.

Friday, 1st November

Prepare yourselves for a delightful mix of isolated showers and thunderstorms meandering their way through the western Peninsula, Gulf Country, and various other charming locales in northern, central, and southeastern Queensland. These showers may decide to join forces and become scattered, possibly even reaching severe levels south of Bundaberg and in the Gulf Country. However, fear not, for the rest of the state will be basking in mostly sunny conditions. Maximum temperatures are set to be above average across the board, with central and southern regions reaching levels that can only be described as "well above average". Enjoy!

Saturday, 2nd November

Prepare yourselves for a sprinkle of isolated showers and thunderstorms parading through the western Peninsula and Gulf Country, making a grand entrance in the northern interior and sauntering into central and southeastern Queensland. Keep an eye out for potential severe thunderstorms in central and southeastern Queensland, as well as in the Gulf Country. Meanwhile, in other regions, expect mostly sunny skies to dominate the scene. Maximum temperatures will be feeling themselves, strutting above average across the board and even showing off in the west and south.

Sunday, 3rd November

Expect some scattered rain in central and southeast Queensland. Keep an umbrella handy if you're along the tropical east coast and Peninsula. There's a slight chance of a thunderstorm in the Gulf Country. Temperatures will be higher than usual, especially in the southern and western regions. Enjoy the unexpected warmth!
