Wednesday, 16th October

Watch out, folks in western Queensland and the southern interior! The fire dangers are higher than a kangaroo on a pogo stick. So, be cautious and keep those flames in check. It's hotter than a dingo in a tanning bed out there, so let's not add fuel to the fire, literally. Stay safe and don't let your outback BBQ turn into an out-of-control blaze.

Thursday, 17th October

Well, looks like Mother Nature is feeling a bit scattered today, with isolated showers in southeast Queensland and near the tropical east coast. Don't forget your umbrella if you're heading out that way, unless you enjoy a surprise thunderstorm or two. Meanwhile, in far southwestern Queensland, there might be some isolated showers and possible thunderstorms. Just a friendly heads up in case you were planning a picnic in that region. For the rest of us, it's mostly sunny, so don't forget your sunscreen! And hold onto your hats because those fresh and gusty north to northwesterly winds are no joke. They're also bringing elevated fire dangers in western and southern interior Queensland. So, maybe hold off on that backyard bonfire tonight. And let's not forget about those temperatures. They're tending well above average across much of inland Queensland south of Georgetown, and near or slightly above average elsewhere. So, if you were hoping for a cool day, you might be out of luck. Stay safe out there, folks. Mother Nature is definitely keeping us on our toes today.

Friday, 18th October

Looks like Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody today, with isolated showers and possible thunderstorms creeping their way across western and southern Queensland. Keep an eye out for severe thunderstorms in the southwest – sounds like a real party! Don't forget your umbrella if you're up north near Townsville, where isolated showers are expected along the tropical coast. Everywhere else can expect mostly sunny skies, so grab those sunglasses and enjoy the show! But hold onto your hats, folks – those fresh and gusty winds from the northwest to southwest are no joke. They're bringing elevated fire dangers to the western and southern interior, so maybe hold off on those backyard barbecues for now. And if you're south of Georgetown, get ready for temperatures that are above average, with some areas even hitting well above average. Mother Nature sure knows how to keep us on our toes!

Saturday, 19th October

Looks like Mother Nature is feeling a bit indecisive today, with isolated showers and a potential thunderstorm causing a bit of a ruckus from northwestern Queensland to southeastern Queensland. There's some uncertainty about just how wild things might get in the southeast, so keep an eye out for any dramatic lightning shows. If you happen to be hanging out in the far northern Peninsula, you might also get caught in a quick shower or two. But fear not, my friends, for the rest of Queensland is basking in mostly sunny skies. Temperatures are playing a game of opposites today, with maximum temps soaring above average in central and eastern areas, while the west gets to enjoy a more chillaxed near average. As for minimum temps, the south and west are feeling a bit warmer than usual, while the rest of the state is keeping it cool. So grab your umbrella and your sunscreen, because you never know what tricks Mother Nature has up her sleeve today!

Region Round-up

Overnight temperatures will drop to a comfortable range of 16 to 21 degrees, giving you the perfect excuse to snuggle up in bed. Daytime temperatures will peak between 27 to 34 degrees, so make sure to dress accordingly or risk looking like a sweaty mess.
